BIO

Eleni Arapoglou, singer, composer & educator from Athens, Greece, based between New York & Athens, has been nominated for a Grammy and Latin Grammy, for Best Jazz Vocal Album through her collaboration on Thana Alexa's 'Ona' and through her feature on Daniel Garcia's Album 'Amor Pasado'. She has performed and taught in concerts, festivals and workshops around the globe. Eleni is a Teaching Artist at Carnegie Hall since 2017, working with families in all boroughs of New York as well as partnering sites international, through the creative outreach program Lullaby Project. 
 

Eleni's interest in cultures and their art and tradition started at SOAS studying Art History & Archeology of Asia Africa and the Middle East in London. She graduated from Tufts University with a major in Drama and Dance, and then from Berklee College of Music with a Professional Diploma in Voice Performance. She has explored various genres from folklore around the world, jazz, soul, and a focus on vocal improvisation.
